What We Do
Abergavenny Cycle Group
About us
We are a group of volunteers who have been working since 1995 for safe cycling in the Abergavenny area. Registered Charity, No. 1070816. Abergavenny Cycle Group is open to all local people. Cycling is cheap, healthy and non-polluting way of getting around. It can also be huge fun and an important part of a 'free range' childhood. Using a bike for short trips - to school, to work, to shop - reduces congestion and helps make our town a better place to live and work. But fast roads and dangerous junctions deter many people from giving cycling a go. We want to improve conditions for cycling in Abergavenny and the surrounding area so more and more people feel comfortable choosing to get around by bike.
